...was a little nerdy, involving insertion of code directly into my blogger template at 3 different places.  now we'll see if it was worth it.

Orkut revisited

Finally got my orkut account last week. It's intergrated with googletalk and has a nicer interface than myspace, but I'm not sure if it's much use to me at this time. (Much like LinkedIn seemed like a great idea, but turned out to be less useful once I used it.)

Google Notebook

First, I think Google Notebook is very cool.
So cool that Blogger and notebook should not be totally separate, and I should be able to create shared notebooks the same way I can have shared calendars.

this is obvious enough that google groups is FULL of similar comments...

Gmail chat

About Gmail

since I slammed them over orkut, I figured I should compliment new "a chat is an e-mail feature" in Gmail/gtalk. Nice work, gang!

orkut - help!

this was definitely annoying... in Gmail I see "Orkut" under "please try our other services" so I click on it and get "log in with your orkut or google username. So I type in my gmail address. and I get " All orkut users must now use Google Accounts to sign in. " with a link for "don't have an orkut account?" Clicking it takes me to this orkut - help
which vaguely reads "If you know someone who is a member of orkut, that person can invite you to join as well. If you don't know an orkut member, wait a bit and most likely you soon will. We look forward to having you as part of the orkut community."

Uh, so, try our new service ... right after an indefinite wait? ...
